As solicitors, we spend a lot of our working lives concentrating, problem-solving, meeting deadlines and, inevitably, sitting behind a desk. We know how important it is to look after our clients - but it’s equally important to make time to look after ourselves and that’s why on 17th September, we’re swapping contracts and case files for padel courts and reformer Pilates.

Padel – A Different Kind of Court

We’re very comfortable with matters involving courts, but this is one court we think everyone should experience! Padel is fast, fun and incredibly social. As well as providing a great cardiovascular workout, it helps improve coordination, agility and strength. Mentally, it gives you something completely different to focus on, helping you switch off from work and everyday pressures. And because padel is played with others, there’s a fantastic social element too. You don’t need to be an experienced player to enjoy it.

Reformer Pilates – Building Strong Foundations

Anyone who works in law knows the importance of getting the foundations right. Reformer Pilates works on exactly that principle, helping to develop core strength, stability, flexibility, balance and posture through controlled movement and resistance. It’s particularly welcome for those of us who spend too much of the working day sitting at a desk. The concentration on movement and breathing can also help you slow down, clear your head and take some time away from emails, phones and screens.

Finding the Right Balance

Whether it’s work or wellbeing, balance matters. Padel brings movement, energy, competition and laughter. Reformer Pilates brings strength, control, mobility and focus. Together, they offer a brilliant combination for both physical and mental wellbeing. That’s the thinking behind our Padel & Reformer Pilates Event on 17th September.

It’s not about being the best player, the strongest or the most flexible. It’s about taking some time out, trying something different, meeting people and doing something positive for your mind and body. And because wellbeing is about more than just exercise, there’ll also be pizza and refreshments for everyone to enjoy, giving us the chance to relax, refuel and catch up after the activities.

Come along, get moving, have some fun — and stay for the pizza!

We’d love you to join us on 17th September. Get the full details here.
